Decided

Tonight i think i'm going to transfer some of my information i have gathered from various sites onto the 94ist wikispace. My page is the ports section under motherboards... I am still deciding however if i should make a page related to the future of motherboards or not. I will see later on depending on the time i have left, which so far isn't alot.
I have some information saved on a word document which i will add onto wikispaces now.
Editting may be hard, I find it difficult to use wikispaces it lags way to much =[
The Info i have saved on my word document is about what different types of ports there are and what each are used for. Tonight i will also add in a couple of pictures to my page.

*EDIT 1*
i'm sticking to ports i can't do anything else at the moment.

More info and bloggy no.10!

Amazing site with good information on different sections of ports

This site has separate information on:
USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports:
PS/2 Ports:
Serial Ports:
Also has great pictures related to each showing port by showing what each different plug looks like.

A guide to choosing the right motherboard

Whilst searching the internet for motherboard related material i ran into an interesting guide about how to buy the right motherboard. I found this site quite good as it was easy to understand and had good helpful information, without biast advertisement.

http://www.build-your-own-computers.com/how-to-choose-a-motherboard.html

It includes things you need know, as to before you buy your motherboard i.e:
What is your processor?
Expansion slots and connectors: This little paragraph gives the advice of "If you do a lot of video capturing and editing, you'll also want to have a Firewire"
Do you need to overclock? (To increase hardware performance)
It also includes information on other features such as: on-board Ethernet, audio, a RAID controller. Stating that most motherboards now have these built onto them saving you money not to buy additional expansion cards.

In conclusion to this guide he states that he has always preferred ASUS motherboards. However he is not advertising it saying it is the BEST ever =D.

editted a pic

I thought i would try my luck at editting a picture of ports on the motherboard by labeling it myself with simple yet straight-forward terms easily understood by people who really don't know much about computers and how to plug in their extra components.. i.e mouse, keyboards, moniter, speakers.

Here is my picture =]

Its a little bit blurry here i don't know why though =
just in case you can't read the smaller parts..
HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface,
and the small really tiny writing says:

Youtube: Surface Computing

With what Mr Lennon showed us in Ist a couple of weeks ago about the new touch screen computer. I went searching through youtube and found another video related to that type of computer with more helpful information. Here is the Link

The price for this new generation computer is between 5-10 thousand dollars..
Note to self: save up money now.
